About

Hi, I am Nalleli

-THE THERAPIST- Although private practice is a new chapter for me, therapy is not. I’ve been supporting women as a therapist since 2018, and I genuinely love the work that I do. Over the years, I’ve found myself especially drawn to working with women and supporting them through some of the most meaningful, vulnerable, and challenging seasons of their lives. As a bilingual therapist with a special focus on perinatal mental health, I work with women navigating fertility challenges, pregnancy, birth, postpartum adjustment, motherhood, anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship changes, and other life transitions. My approach is warm, collaborative, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive. I draw from EMDR, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, ACT, CBT, and mindfulness, tailoring therapy to your experiences, needs, values, and culture. I understand that faith can play a central role in your life, and welcome you to draw upon your beliefs throughout therapy based on your comfort and preferences. I know these seasons can hold so many emotions at once. My hope is to create a space where you can bring all of it and feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported without judgment. -ON A PERSONAL LEVEL- I’m a Mexican American wife and mom of three, with kids in three very different seasons...a baby, an elementary-aged child, and a teenager. Motherhood has shaped so much of who I am and has deepened my appreciation for just how much women carry as we move through different stages of life. Outside of therapy, there’s a good chance you’ll find me in full soccer-mom mode. I love a good comfort show or movie (The Office, Mean Girls, Pride & Prejudice, and Harry Potter are some favorites), and my faith is an important part of who I am and how I stay grounded. I am a proud daughter of immigrant parents. I also grew up in a house full of sisters (with one little brother!), so being surrounded by women has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Between my culture, faith, family, and my own experiences of motherhood, I think there are many pieces of who I am that naturally drew me toward this work. -EDUCATION- Master of Science in Social Work (MSSW) The University of Texas at Austin Steve Hicks School of Social Work Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) The University of Texas at Austin Steve Hicks School of Social Work - CERTIFICATIONS AND TRAININGS- Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C) Postpartum Support International Licensed Clinical Social Worker – Supervisor (LCSW-S) Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Training EMDR-PRECI: Protocol for Recent Critical Incidents and Ongoing Traumatic Stress -Advanced EMDR training focused on recent critical incidents, ongoing traumatic stress, and early intervention following distressing experiences.
